A couple of weeks back we (=our work place people) had a day trip to Vyborg. I've never really been there before as a tourist, only passed by by car or train, so it was a nice day, although rather short and cloudy.
Anyways I'd like to go there again this summer with more time. It'd also be very nice to see some small villages near the Finnish border, for example Kivennapa where my grandfather was born in. Well of course it's not the same as it used to be, but it'd be interesting to see where my roots are...

ihania noi tee/kahvisetit!
no ei kai! ei varmaan yllätä yhtään mut oisin eniten halunnu ton punavalkosen polkadot-astiaston :) onneks oon nähny niitä täällä Pietarissakin.
Vyborg's such a beautiful city, even though it's in bad shape. Otherwise I haven't been travelling in Russian Karelia, but lots of my friends have and everybody say it's jsut absolutely beautiful!
Vyborg reminds me of Helsinki, which is no surprise since there have been same architects designing the cities. And there're also some same street names than in Helsinki plus of course Torkkelinpuisto :)
Vyborg has changes over the years a lot, the last time I went there it was completely different, more poor etc. But yes, it is in quite a bad shape, what a shame :/
Heippa!
Aivan ihastuttava blogi sinulla, mielenkiintoista seurata Suomalaiseloa Venäjällä.
