Yesterday I went looking for some summerlove (10 years younger boys that is haha) but I have the worst luck ever when it comes to dating and such, so I ended up empty-handed as usual. But I had a good night anyway, it reminded me what a little flirt can do to your self esteem. It's been a completely forgotten habit, so I guess I need to bring it back from now on.

Today I've been a perfect housewife, did the laundry, baked some rolls and cooked red lentil soup. I don't usually pay a lot of attention to cooking so it's luxurious to do so every once in a while. And it's been luxurious to spend a day on my own, I need these days.

peacefulness

It's been lovely lately. On Sunday I took a bike ride to East Helsinki and spent some time at some hills there reading and eating. Views from there are so peaceful.

Midsummer

I had a nice one-day Midsummer, was completely drunk, but hey, that's the tradition, right?

This was my outfit (apart from shoes and bag that I changed just before leaving home)

Now I'm just enjoying the days in sun, waiting for Saturday to see Social Distortion and the Sounds. Anyone else coming there?

Shoe rant

I saw the most perfect pair of heels while being in Tampere, they even were on sale. Now I regret I didn't buy them. I've been chasing after them here in Helsinki without any luck. I'm crying. Sniff.

This is what I was wearing yesterday. I thrifted the skirt in Tampere, hem line is a little bit too long, so I should shorten it. Top is just a basic tee from Seppälä. The bag that can be seen a little is from Mic Mac, I bought it cos I really needed a weekend bag. It's perfect.

These brown shoes were also thrifted in Tampere (hmm I guess they'll have to do for now, but they aren't the ones)

A couple of pics taken from my window. I love that little street, which I discovered only after moving to this house. I've lived across the street a couple of years back but never saw that street, weird. Oh and if anyone was wondering, I live in Kallio (and never want to move away).

Tampere in my mind

I spent a long weekend in Tampere, came back on Tuesday. Had lovely time, had delicious food and drinks, went out a couple of times and did some thrift finds as well. I love going thrifting in other cities, it feels as you could find anything with a price compared to nothing (well you all know it's not how it goes, but at least having some change is always good).

And just because this blog is trying to be some kind of a style blog, some outfits will follow. This is what I was wearing to see some Finnish rap at Klubi (did not exactly feel like one of the crowd... but I never do).

It's gonna be Midsummer festivities tomorrow and on Saturday. I've never before in my whole life stayed in city to celebrate it, but this time I am. I'm first going to my friend's garden (hopefully it'll be good weather) for some barbeque and afterwards to see Guitar Slingers and the loveliest ever Cherry Dee perform at Bar Loose.

My morning

This is how I wake up most of the mornings. Either her purring on my chest or in my armpit. But it's always as lovely awakening.

This morning I realized I lack almost everything needed for a good breakfast. So a bit poor it ended up becoming.

My mornings always consist of good music, that's a must or else I can't wake up properly. Today I listened to Fatboy. (Hopefully you won't find any embarrassing records there hehe)

Then I put on some make up and did my hair (in fact it's always the other way round, I first get ready for a day, then have breakfast). The least I do daily is to curl my bangs, sometimes a bit more. I've hung out at home and at library so nothing too fancy today.
